Aandoeningen van de huidaanhangsels

De huidaanhangsels zijn de nagels, haarzakjes, talg- en zweetklieren. In dit hoofdstuk worden nagelaandoeningen besproken zoals ingegroeide nagels, nagelloslating, klauwnagel, groeistoornissen van de nagel, lijnen van Beau en het gele nagels syndroom. Tevens komen verschillende haaraandoeningen aan bod zoals alopecia areata, alopecia universalis, alopecia mucinosa, androgene alopecia, cicatriciële alopecia, hypertrichose, hirsutisme, polytrichie, afwijkingen in de haarkleur of aantasting van de haarschacht. Onder aandoeningen van de talgklieren vallen verschillende vormen van acne, zoals acne vulgaris, acne conglobata, acne varioliformis, acne infantum en acné excoriée des jeunes filles en aandoeningen als rosacea, folliculaire huidcysten, epidermale cysten, trichodermale cysten, acne keloidea en hidradenitis suppurativa. Tenslotte worden aandoeningen van de eccriene en apocriene zweetklieren, zoals miliaria rubra, miliaria crystallina, anhidrose, osmidrose, chromidrose en apocriene miliaria, besproken.
